This is what we ended up doing this morning after speaking to the vet. We put butter on it. Harley shuts down and gets highly stressed at the vets so we didn’t feel taking her in other day was suitable.

Trying go to get the tablets into her isn’t working. Last night they were crushed into her tea and she ate it. This morning we crushed them in her breakfast which has sat untouched for the past 45 minutes.

Vets think Harley has an infection in her hock as it is swollen and hot to touch. She’s on antibiotics, doggy paracewith codine and metacam. We have to go back next Thursday to check that things are improving. She’s struggling to walk and her front left paw which is where arthritis is the worst...

It has been on our minds recently too. Before we went away we noticed Harley was struggling walking too far. When we got back from holiday last week my dog Walker said she had been fussy with food and was refusing to eat some days. We thought it was down to missing us, but this has continued...

She used to have metacam, but they didn’t think it helped as she was on it for so long so May have become immune to it. I will definitely ask the vet about that too. Thanks @Jelinga 😊

I know it’s not a cure, just to ease the pain. It’s the pain that she is in. Previous injections she would let us touch and massage her wrist, this time she won’t let us near it. She’s also been licking the area which is unusual. She also doesn’t want to go far on walks which again is unusual...
