My friends dog had pancreatitis. He had the severe type which caused him a lot of pain. He had a very low fat diet - I think food had to be under 7% fat content. Unfortunately my friends dog was 13 and passed away within 6 months of diagnosis.

I have called a hydrotherapy place tonight and their therapist is calling me tomorrow to book in 😊 I was truly impressed by how he handled Harley and the way he supported me through the appointment.

I’m driving to the local park every day so we can have a mooch. Some days we meet with my dog Walker and a few of his oldies which is great as they all have sniffs and mooch gently. I’m letting her do as much / little as she feels like each day 😊

Harley has woken up with a very swollen back leg (the one that was operated on) and she is weeping fluid from her front paw too. She’s struggling to walk and have a wee / poo. We are off to the vets in 20 mins.

So hot today. We topped 29 degrees. Harley didn’t have her trip to the park to people watch as was too hot by the time I was able to stop work for a break. My daughter and granddaughter are also with us so we spent a lot of today inside or under the oak tree in the garden.

We cancelled our insurance last year as they wanted £125 a month for Harley and excluded anything to do with her arthritis and her tummy. We also would have to pay 40% of any costs. Lo and behold….9 months later her surgery cost us about £4500 to date!
