Coming off Suprelorin

Thank you all for asking.
He is so much better than yesterday and the wound seems better today as well.
I had a little tail wag greeting this morning. He is eating😲 but he is refusing to drink water. He has always drunk water but he has just drunk some of my cold tea. Something is better than nothing.
He still seems slightly confused and is making "peeping" noises but we know that the GA effects always take at least a few good days to clear with Hunter. I am keeping a very close eye on him regarding fluids as I am still slightly worried that he isn't drinking much.
So we are going in the right direction. X

Boil some chicken or fish save the water and mix it with his water or pour the oil from a tin of salmon or tuna into his water. They really like it and it does encourage drinking. You can try ice cubes made from boiled chicken or fish water. Hope he's ok ❀

Aww bless Hunter, glad he is a little better today. When Hattie is poorly and won't drink, I have some syringes that I draw water into and administer in the side of her mouth, it also enables me to monitor her intake. I get plenty in her and she takes it happily. Also water to food is another way we do it. xx

The vet rang as she was worried and asked me to send a photo of his scar/wound just in case as it is nearly the weekend. I can tell you I was quite worried about sending such a photo from my work laptop! My teenage son was in tears of laughter helping me get the camera at the right angle for our very grumpy model! Vet is happy that it looks OK. I just mixed the frozen broth with lots of water which he drank straight away.
So it seems to be onwards and upwards once again!
Thank you again everybody for all the wise words and advice. XX
