He got himself into a scrap with a young boxer dog and got a scratch near his ear. Poor dog walker was a bit upset but luckily it’s not bad so we’ll just keep it clean.

He appears to be bringing up larger amounts of food but possibly less often.

His wound appears to be healing nicely. My friend who was a vet nurse is going to look after him on Monday.
He’s a bit nauseous this morning we haven’t had this for a while. Hopefully he’ll be ready to eat something soon.

He’s back to his normal self. He is getting his booster injections today. So will see what the vet says. I need to ask for cerenia for when he gets nauseous. He looks like he’s lost a bit more weight.

He’s now down to 28kg. I was expecting that. Last night most of his dinner didn’t get through to his stomach.

I took today off work to be with him. So far 1 1/2 tins of food and 200ml 300calories of GI high energy liquid made into jelly have stayed down. The high energy liquid is expensive at £12 for 200ml so not really something he can have every day.

Yes, I've just ordered 6 bottles from Pet drug online. I'll try agbzoo too. a lot cheeper, still expensive but if it helps add colories and he gains some weight then its worth it.

Could you make the high calorie food yourself to make it cheaper? Make a large batch and freeze? Looks like the important ingredient is the hydrolysed whey protein. Body builders buy the stuff by the bucket load.

@JES72 Catching up on Homer the poor lad. I can appreciate how worried an frustrated you must be. Both Scott and Scout lost weight because they went off their food so I know what it’s like trying to get enough food down without causing tummy issues. I didn’t get to the point were supplements would help but I found these. I’m not sure if they’d be suitable for Homer’s tummy but I think better value than Royal Canin. The pro dog muscle is fish protein which is usually ok for sensitive tums.
