?Infection

I’m so sorry @Naya . It really is a lot to take in. When I suggested a torn achilles I didn’t think it was actually going to be because you would expect from a thorough examination, X-ray etc that would be obvious. I suppose if it started as a partial rupture it could be missed and as @M.F. posted it can be missed in humans even with the patient able to explain what happened and how it feels. The only reason I wondered if it could be was your description of Harley’s hock. I’d researched Achilles’ tendon issues when Scout’s legs first started being affected by laryngeal paralysis. I know you’ve got so much on your mind at the moment but this website offers ideas and alternatives if you decide operating is not an option for Harley and there are many similar sites as I’m sure you’ve probably already found. Thanks all. I drove Harley to a local park today, she had a 2 min mooch about then we sat and just people / dog watched. She was so chilled which never happens when we are out. I think she liked the change of scenery. We sat for over half hour then I had to lift her back into the car (my poor back)!
I’ve got a vets appointment with the head vet (owner) at 4.20pm on Monday to discuss our options. I am worried, but also want to do the best for Harley as don’t want her suffering.

We were supposed to be at my daughters this weekend as haven’t seen my granddaughter for 6 weeks. My daughter has been amazing and told me to stay home with Harley and she face timed us instead this afternoon. It really helped put a much needed smile on my face.

thank you for all your supportive comments. I will look at the brace @Jennifer. I feel this is the route we will end up taking instead of surgery because of the tumour.

Vet thinks her Achilles Tendon is ruptured, but ortho team won’t see her until a biopsy has been done and depending on what the results are depends on what they will / won’t do.
Vet said she also has the start of laryngeal paralysis but and this could indicate that she might have tumours in her neck.
Harley is booked in for Friday for a biopsy which will be under GA.
Once we have the results we can decide what we are going to do.
It’s so hard waiting and my mind keeps going round constantly.
My dog walker popped in this afternoon after our appointment with his dogs and Harley loved the additional fuss from all of them. She mooched around saying hi then led down and they came over to her. She’s now very sleepy.
