Our book club book this month was "The Temporary Bride" by Jennifer Klinec, a Canadian living in London. It's a novel-like biography how she grew up in a rural isolated area with Eastern European parents and is centred around her exploration of food, particularly in the middle east, and how she developed a relationship with an Iranian boy.
Its unusual, and biographies don't normally appeal but I really enjoyed this. Lots of descriptive food porn.
We have our Christmas book club meeting next week. We normally do a chinese book swap at it. I really don't have paper books as I read more on kindle. I guess I will have to buy another copy of "Wilding" for myself
@Lisa , I keep giving mine away.
