The Labraventures of Carbón, Spanish (ex-) foster dog extraordinaire

I've just caught up on the past four weeks of your life:
  • I'm sorry that you had such a shitty experience from Denver to San Jose. Not checking with your seat mate in advance is really appalling.
  • I love the beach vid! Watching Carbon lose his mind (in a good way) was a delight to see.
  • Seeing the interior of a Costco is just *wow*
  • I just want to give a tip of the hat to Donna. A partner who helps to build bridges between her partner and his estranged daughter is a rare gem. I didn't find out until after my father had died that his partner was doing the opposite.
  • I love that Carbon recognises German!
  • I know this isn't a unique thought, but I really hate the TSA, you know? Almost as petty as the Toilet Totalitarian. I'm with Swampy, you should totally have just barged past him and evacuated there and then.
  • I just love the Spanish Seafaring Dog, he suits a boat! Can't wait to see him and Curly romping along the beach.

Wow, was that just the last four weeks? Now I don't feel so bad for feeling so tired.

I agree with you on all points. Donna is a gem. Costco is mind-blowing and very American ("everything's bigger here"). TSA...grrr! Maybe it's the combination of too little training and too much autonomy. And hopefully we'll make it to the beach with Curly today or tomorrow. Yesterday's weather was bad news: gusty with horizontal rain. We were lucky that we fit in a gentle stroll around town before getting soaked.

Today's entry is a video but it's taking forever to upload...but it's coming. Maybe not before I fall asleep, but it's coming! :)

In other news, I've got my reservations for Dingle now. We're staying five nights with a very nice lady named Marie - Carbon and I stayed one night with her last year and I was hoping we'd make it back. No plans except to catch up with work and enjoy my favourite Irish walk which is just a few minutes from Marie's house. We'll head off on Sunday and give @RosieC and Curly a break from us but have another visit with them before we head back to the UK.

That video brought me to tears, Carbon was happiness itself and to think what a different life he might have led, or even destroyed at a young age. Emily, you are wonderful :inlove:
Carbon is the wonderful one and I got really, really lucky. I will forever take (and deserve) the good-natured ribbing about how long it took me to admit he was my forever dog! :D

No sign of Señor Grumpypantalones there! :cwl:
You know, I haven't seen Señor Grumpypantalones - except for the rare glimpse - for months now. Cornwall kind of seemed to banish him! However today I was joking with @RosieC that we now have "Señor Naughtypantalones": also disconcerting, but better than his grumpy alter ego.
