Fishguard Is a place. Port called Fishguard the boats home port?
True enough - I guess 'exotic' all depends on where you're starting from!Setting sail for Ireland sounds wonderfully romantic and exotic from my location in Africa!
Fishguard is the name of the port town in Wales where the ferry sails from: Fishguard, Wales to Rosslare, Ireland. What is a fishguard??
Wow, was that just the last four weeks? Now I don't feel so bad for feeling so tired.I've just caught up on the past four weeks of your life:
- I'm sorry that you had such a shitty experience from Denver to San Jose. Not checking with your seat mate in advance is really appalling.
- I love the beach vid! Watching Carbon lose his mind (in a good way) was a delight to see.
- Seeing the interior of a Costco is just *wow*
- I just want to give a tip of the hat to Donna. A partner who helps to build bridges between her partner and his estranged daughter is a rare gem. I didn't find out until after my father had died that his partner was doing the opposite.
- I love that Carbon recognises German!
- I know this isn't a unique thought, but I really hate the TSA, you know? Almost as petty as the Toilet Totalitarian. I'm with Swampy, you should totally have just barged past him and evacuated there and then.
- I just love the Spanish Seafaring Dog, he suits a boat! Can't wait to see him and Curly romping along the beach.
Glad you enjoyed Carbon's exotic cruise!Love your posts @Emily_Babbelhund, they transport me into your life for a brief spell, away from troublesome thoughts. I really enjoyed sailing to Ireland with your handsome young man.
Heh, heh...no speeding up this time! That's 100% real-time Carbon. At first I thought you’d sped up the video!
Carbon is the wonderful one and I got really, really lucky. I will forever take (and deserve) the good-natured ribbing about how long it took me to admit he was my forever dog! That video brought me to tears, Carbon was happiness itself and to think what a different life he might have led, or even destroyed at a young age. Emily, you are wonderful![]()
You know, I haven't seen Señor Grumpypantalones - except for the rare glimpse - for months now. Cornwall kind of seemed to banish him! However today I was joking with @RosieC that we now have "Señor Naughtypantalones": also disconcerting, but better than his grumpy alter ego.No sign of Señor Grumpypantalones there!![]()
