It seems very strange ( and sad ) to think that you are no longer just over the other side of Pasty Land . We will miss you both but hope that you have some wonderful adventures along the way , take care and safe journey xxx

Yes, we are staying in Collioure!@Anne123 , where was that photo taken please? Could it be Collioure?
I sent you a message!Trevor and I loved Collioure! We had two holidays there, staying in an apartment just overlooking the bridge in your photo, with wonderful views of the harbour and castle. Hope you're enjoying it as much as we did! Have you found the Bar des Templiers? Amazing place with paintings by the pupils of several famous artists, also the food is really good. Have a great time!
And a huge thank you back to @Emily_Babbelhund and Carbon (and @Selina27 and Cassie) for looking after the Pongster for a whole day while we were away! Pongo says he's sorry that he was so very fascinated by Carbon's bottom when he first arrived (although it is a very fine bottom indeed), and he had a supersupersuper lovely time. And he is very glad that Carbon enjoyed his pacca-poo treats.I want to say a huge thank you to @Rosie, her OH and the incomparable Pongo for being such wonderful hosts. What a lovely visit with beautiful people and dogs, the Welsh countryside and delicious food. I’m also so grateful that Cassie and @Selina27 could visit too, despite the interference of Ed Sheeran. It was a grand send-off from the UK.
Just seen it, thanks, have a wonderful time!I sent you a message!
I stayed at the Youth Hostel in La Rochelle a year or so agoThank you for all the nice messages to read once we got into our hotel! Safe and sound in Abbeville (wherever that is!) tucked into a reliably boring Ibis Budget. I'm absolutely knackered (love that UK term) and Carbon is snoozing away (which is why he isn't writing of course). It's not hot at all yet (17C when we rolled in), which meant I could stop at a grocery store and stock up on some things for the rest of the drive. It's not M&S, but it worked.
It was funny coming off the of Eurotunnel and onto the motorway - for at least the first 30 minutes driving south, it was ONLY UK number plates on the road with us. It was also very disorientating driving on the right - I really have to keep saying out loud, "Drive on the right, don't kill anybody!!".
Tomorrow it's onward to La Rochelle.![]()
It’s a relief to know that you got your train! I was really worried that you wouldn’t, as the traffic reports were bad. I’m sorry you weren’t able to visit on your way through, but hoping to see you and Carbon in six months!for at least the first 30 minutes driving south, it was ONLY UK number plates on the road with us.
