We had MASSIVE hail here on the weekend (well, not HERE but a couple hours away). Some were orange and grapefruit sized. Cars got absolutely destroyed out on the highway, windows smashed in and completely battered. Luckily no one badly injured, some scratches and whatnot from the glass breaking in the cars. So frightening!

Hehe we had the same weather today!
Pretty much the same here too. The days are already warming up but still very cold in the morning and at night. The day before yesterday we had a sudden spike up to 25 degrees which is 7 degrees above normal for winter / August. I walked outside and felt the warmth and thought I'd been in a time warp

At least the dratted rain has gone. The park where we let Maxx run around on the 15m lead is still a bog

Our lawn is still boggy and struggling. We have clay soil that just retains water and packs down.

I'm amazed by how it suddenly warmed up though.

@Lisa, that must have been a very scary experience. I wonder how all the broken windscreens were sorted!
It will take a long time. It’s not just the windshields, of course, there’s body work, too. Because there were so many that were damaged and there are only so many insurance adjusters and body work shops I imagine there will quite a wait for people. 😕

We’ve had thunderstorms, torrential rain - the sort that bounces off the roof and misses the water butts altogether  , and now it’s all hot and sticky again. I was really hoping it would cool down considerably for tonight.
