There is evidence of a good downpour though and it feels like there's plenty more to come.

I wish we could have a downpour, it goes dark in the evenings and we can hear thunder rumbling all around but no rain. A dry storm for us.

I dont know if its an age thing, or maybe because I suffer from high blood pressure, but I cant cope with this extremely hot weather these days , so I stay in doors after about 10 a.m. , no rain or storms here either x

It was like two different worlds going to work this morning. I left early as the rain was extremely heavy and big rumbles of thunder still going on at home, but as soon as I got halfway, it was beautiful and sunny and the roads hardly even looked wet! Up here at work, they seem to have missed all the heavy rain! They had thunderstorms and a bit of rain but absolutely nothing like we had. I was expecting to come in and find the paddock flooded etc!

Still no rain, but an amazing and scary lightening spectacular last night. I am somewhat lucky in the morning as the lane by my house is very shady and always has a breeze (or gale in winter) blowing down it.

We use it to follow storms it’s pretty accurate in a general sense.

Same here, Kate. I never have liked very hot weather, but I like it even less now.

31 here and Hunter threw up this morning after I fed him. He did not even try to gobble it back up.
Gave him some kibble tonight and he had some chicken from the BBQ. He seems OK but it is so humid. We so need a storm to clear the air.

We had a quite a gale for 5 minutes, so thought a storm was coming, but no! Had some lightening and a slight rumble of thunder, about 5 drops of rain and then nothing. I wish it had come my way, desperate for rain!

Very humid here all afternoon and early evening. I have been squirting Joy with my water bottle which she seems to like, even rolling over so I can do her tummy and periodically coming and biffing me with her paw to ask for more! Cooling down a bit now but very little breeze if any. It feels like we need a really big storm, but none predicted yet, so I have watered the garden. Both sitting out now, cooling down and enjoying it. Most unlike Wild and Windy West Yorkshire!

ack! Our max has been 26.6 today and I've been hopelessly feeble in it. OH gave Coco n Meg a game of Hoze when he got in, they were still wet when I came home. Been out for dinner, then sat in the garden while the sun set. Not looking forward to another claggy night.

We got up to 29 thisafternoon! That just doesn't happen here! Luckily at that stage it was still fairly cool in the house, but now the house feels sticky and it's cooler out here. So tempted to sleep outside tonight but the last time I did that without a tent(aged about 22) I was eaten alive by insects, so not to be repeated.

It was absolutely beautiful today up at work (not so much when I left the house).
Far too hot for the dogs... but they eventually got a walk around the big field at around 7:30 - just a slow daunder for sniffs! Stunning sunset too

33 here about 6pm, but about 8pm we had the most ferocious downpour, for abou ten minutes,. It's slightly cooled the air, down to 22/23, hopefully the morning walk wil be cooler with the wet grass. Oops, I forgot to get the washing in off the line.
