The sky has gone very grey , reports of snow on the moors spreading to where we are , it was minus 6 last night and only 1 at the moment x

It's crazy how much different the weather is here and you are only a 40 minute drive away. Here has been grey and a smattering of rain today, coming down harder now, but really not that cold. I've been popping out* to take Carbon for a wee and don't bother with my coat.

One thing I like about Cornish weather is that it changes so much. Regensburg is pretty much just fog and solid drizzle for all of December.


*In quarantine so 'out' is just in our own garden - I have to go with Carbon because if I let him go out by himself he does his macho ground scratching thing and destroys the grass!

Maaaan, that is cold!

It's a bit warmer today, about 26, still overcast and we had a lot of rain this morning. When it cleared we took Maxx for his walk - along with just about every other dog in the area! He had a fine time greeting them all. We didn't go to the park for a run as it is too humid. I am longing for some sunshine. In a place where the sun shines 4.5 out of 7 days on average, having three weeks of almost constant cloud is very depressing. Especially when you are on your summer holidays! Oh well, nothing we can do

It’s been a lovely crisp, cold, sunny morning. I really enjoyed our dog walk.

Our twins made a huge snowman and a snowdog! (They sent a photo, they live about an hour away from us, so I didn’t see it in person).

Our snow lasted about 3 hours and not enough to have a snowball fight or make a snowman

You mean you haven't had it yet?! We've had some and you're way further North than us! You need to get yourselves back down here and all the dogs could romp together again! If only! Well..... maybe one day!

Because we are quite close to the coast, often we miss the worst of the snow in Scotland. I believe Edinburgh has snow just now, although it’s kinda melting now x

Ours has melted just now to be fair and we're left with treacherous ICE underfoot, which unfortunately means not much romping is happening at all.

Me too! As a falling over and breaking limbs for no reason at all person it terrifies me!

Me too, a few years back we seemed to have a lot of black ice, I remember working one New Years Day and parking in the street and wondering how I was going to make it from the car to the house I needed to visit and remain vertical. I managed to do so, but it was pretty horrid.
