Further up the hill the trees are pushing up the tarmac with their roots and everyone is like... Meh, the trees are nice

One of the descriptors used by real estate people is "leafy." It sure is. Especially when you are taking our front balcony!

But how good did it end up? Sunny and 21....I had to change the air-con in my car from warm to cool

Unlike today....wet, cold and miserable. Poor Maxx hasn't been for his walk yet but we have been playing games around the house. It's the Winter Solstice today so the days will slowly start to get longer again.

I took Chewie down to the park and he had a run around with his friend Maggie. I felt a bit sorry for myself and came home for a hot shower...

The rain has finally stopped and we've just returned with a muddy-legged dog from a quick walk and managed to not get wet (hoomans) but Maxx does love a muddy puddle. He is happily snoozing on his towel on the couch after a good rub down that removed most of the mud.

I could scream , all I heard from people last week was ' how close it was' ( warm) and ' we need rain'. Well I hope they're all happy. While most of the uk basks in 'muggy' weather and no rain, we're now in the third day of cold and extremely wet weather, what the scots call small rain, it's the stuff that seeps in everywhere and soaks you.
Now we can meet our families but who the hell would want to as they're not allowed in the house.

My poor summer plants are battered by the wind and my heating was on in the morning and this is what's known as a Scottish summer.

@snowbunny yip, we've got one and unfortunately it's too cold and it's been 30 mile an hour winds up until today.
Never mind I'm consoling myself with the last of my chocolate cake.

28c here today. I don't do hot weather so I am not impressed. The rest of the week is forecast to be in the early 30's so I'm going to be even less impressed. Fans are already going overtime.

I'll swap @Aitch - very cold here and I hate it. Yesterday morning it was 6 degrees when we went walking and this morning doesn't feel any warmer. It got to 16 yesterday but while that sounds ok the air is still very cold and I sat with the heater on all day whilst working.

I love the warm weather as long as I can cool down if I need to. The house is built of Yorkshire Stone and is cool in the heat, but just now I'm really enjoying being able to sit outside in pyjamas and listen to the birds. Bliss!
