So sorry for those of you who the heat doesn't suit. I'm lucky to have a cool house, although I have put the electric fan by the bed just in case. I always think it's easier to get warm than to cool down unless you have access to a pool or the sea, so bei6 uncomfortable with heat must be difficult.

Gosh, 28 or 29 is a perfect temp here. Not too hot and not too cold. It's all about what you are used to

London was the second coldest place we went to (the Sahara desert at night in Morocco was much colder). OH and I were walking around wearing so many layers and still shivering. Many of the locals just had light jackets on! !

I suspect I am meant to live at 28 degrees ish. I find that just fine, can still do stuff, and good for sitting out and watching sunsets/moon rises.

Nooooooo! The ideal temp is maybe 23, not too humid, with cool mornings.

I loathe Sydney in summer. It's so sweaty and disgusting. I'm very odd for someone who grew up in the subtropics!

Same!

Buuuuuut.... I don't like the inside of my house to be 29 degrees. I think the UK summers sound like they're getting warmer so it's probably time that houses start getting built with aircon as well as heating 🤷

Honestly, for those struggling in the heat, 29 degrees is wonderful when you know you can step inside to a house that's a cool 20-22

True....I do tend to take our air-con for granted. Our house is double brick and cool in summer but not so good in winter. We have three reverse-cycle air conditioners that heat up the room they are in but the rest of the house is cold.

The summers do seem to be getting hotter weather in the UK. I find the fierce heat rather scary. It also gets too hot to do anything. 31 here today but weather due to break tomorrow but still going to be around 25. 20-22 and a breeze is my ideal

OK Scotland is part of the UK, please exclude it from heatwave and hotter weather.
Today is the ONLY day we have to get 25c. Yesterday was 20c and the first dry day in nearly a week.
If I could afford it I would emigrate, I loathe the cold and don't start me on the rain. This part of Scotland is green for a reason.
I'm getting more depressed now as we had to cancel our holiday to Croatia in August and it now means I have no chance on getting guaranteed sunshine and a heat.
Nicola Sturgeon is encouraging the Scots to holiday in Scotland this year, NOT a chance would I ever holiday in any part of Scotland in summer. The reason, MIDGES and the wind and the rain, I can stay at home for all of that.
So fortunately my lovely brother has a lovely house in a beautiful part of Lincolnshire and we're going to stay with him for a couple of days and hopefully it will be warmer than here.
Oh and for anyone who doesn't believe me about the depressing weather, here is the forecast for my area. This is a screenshot from tomorrow until the 2cd of JULY.To be clear this is our Summer :cold::cold::cold:

They probably are getting warmer but it just doesn’t last long enough to really require aircon. Today and the past 2 days have been warm but then we’re back to.. 0D9EEEBE-A65B-40D4-B603-A51D3AAD99F3.png

@Jacqui-S don't worry when I check the weather channel, we don't have those sunshine bits either. So it's all of Scotland this forecast. Remember though this is normal weather for the school holidays.
