We live 4/5 miles outside Cupar. I drive though on my way to work! It has become a right bottleneck for cars, can be a nightmare through the day to get through Cupar.@Sophiedoodle, do you live in/near Cupar? My neighbour's daughter lives in Cupar.
We go abroad for our holidays just to get on away from this. Hopefully tomorrow will be better.@Cupcase, my holiday weather was always like this, so I stopped going on holiday 12 years ago!

It used to be I’m sure! I went to high school there and can’t ever remember it being as busy as it is now. The problem is that the main road to St Andrews passes through Cupar, so on nice days when everybody is heading to the beach, it’s an absolute nightmare!I always imagined it as a very old and quiet town - wrong![]()
I was speechless and then I did try to come up with something witty but witty I'm not, so instead I had decided to say nothing but now you mention it,Wait till @Cupcase sees this!
Right now I would willingly swap! It was 78F in my bedroom when I woke up (and the fan had been on all night). I've taken the dogs out in the garden, but although it was overcast it was still already too hot, so I sat on the swing seat trying to generate a breeze while they mooched around. I hate feeling worn out when it's only 10am!THIS IS MY BLOODY SUMMER
I say the same to my Dad in South Africa about putting a heater on in the middle of a cold snap in winter. They’d be all huddled up in jumpers under quilts than turn on the heater, they have one but don’t think about putting it on.What I find concerning is the lack of cold air-con in your part of the world. I know it is rare, but when it gets this hot you need to have an outlet to somewhere you can escape the heat completely. It is unbearable to be in 35+ heat without air-con.
Good luck friends
