We're having unseasonably warm weather in Wellington. I'm still wearing t-shirts. I've worn skirts without tights this week. We've had the odd chilly night (down to 0) but days are still in the mid to late teens. The weather will turn for good at some point (probably August, August is always the worst) but I'm enjoying it while it lasts...and lasts...
Nice!

After the coldest day in 37 years on Thursday when it only made it to 10.3 degrees, today I had to change my car from 'heat' to 'cool'. 19 degrees and sunny. Much better thankyou Mr Weatherman. Still very cold in the morning and evening though

Beautiful sunshine here, but with a wind chill factor of 17, so currently only 17 degrees. Supposed to be a scorcher tomorrow though ( which in Yorkshire I suspect is anything over about 19.5 degrees) so GGJ and I will be up and away early for our morning walk. Have a lovely day, Kate, Emily, Reuben and Carbón. Everyone else too, for that matter!

We had a gran tormenta yesterday. I love the word "tormenta", it sounds so much MORE than "storm".

And this was MORE. It was insane. The rain was so hard that my business partner couldn't hear me when we were talking on Skype. There's a trough out in the garden that's about five inches deep and it was overflowing within the space of about two hours, and it rained almost all day. We had a half hour respite at lunchtime before it set back in again. The land was completely flooded and then ... why can I hear pouring water? A stream of water found its way in through our bathroom wall, and we were paddling about an inch deep throughout the lower floor. Thank heavens for tiled floors!!

Happily, we got home from our morning walk about fifteen minutes before it started, and by the time evening walkies time came, we were back to blue skies. But that bit in between? WowEEE!

This weather is totally, indescribably, nuts.

Oh yikes Lisa, that's so hot! Poor Simba and that thick coat of his 😳 I have a school friend in Vancouver who was telling me that they're expecting temps in the 40s tomorrow. Unseasonable temperatures everywhere, it's frightening. We're still in the mid-teens here most days, which is lovely but also too warm for winter.
