Took some photos of the river in flood this afternoon. That didn't make me smile but when I looked at them on arriving home, I spotted this little chap in the bottom left hand window of one of the flats and smiled.

I smiled today when we my SIL, hubby and I were in the lounge watching a movie. It is pouring with rain - Armageddon like - and Maxx hasn't been for a walk. There is a lot of flu/colds around and the wind is cold and we don't want to go out and get sick. But despite this, Maxx is being a good boy and not being a pest. Every now and then he would get a toy and take it in turns to take it one of us and push it into gently our legs to play. Such a cutie

And I smiled yesterday. I was at the hairdressers when hubby, SIL and Maxx popped in as a surprise. They were out walking and decided to take Maxx to see me. I was sitting there with foils (good look - NOT) and they just stood in the doorway and waved and Maxx jumped around in excitement of course. All the girls went 'awww, what a cutie' and then one came charging out from the back room when she heard there was a visiting dog and bent down with her arms out (she has an 11 month old lab and just loves them - as we all do) and he leapt up and literally put his paws on her shoulders and gave her the biggest kiss right up the face! She didn't seem to mind....I hope!

Red is such a softie - I did the lunchtime walk yesterday. We met a woman and her little dog. Red rushes up to the woman and throws herself on the ground on her back wanting a belly rub - which she got and a treat. DH says she does it all the time as she knows she’ll get a treat!!!

Took the Labs for a slightly longer walk yesterday evening. It goes past one of the neighbouring farms towards the end of the walk. The farmer had left the gate open and they all dashed in. By the time I got there, Willow and Shadow has launched themselves into his pool and were swimming round, pleased as punch, while Squidge acted as life guard. There are no steps, so I had to haul them out by the collars, but they were so pleased with themselves, I couldn’t help but laugh

Maxx still won't get in our pool and I'm quite happy as I don't want a pool full of hair. He runs up and down the side or sits and watches being a lifeguard like squidge
That’s like me at my work.
The receptionists are under strict instructions to email me if someone brings a dog in and I go straight down to reception like DOGGGGG!!!

There is a tree outside the window where I work, and a drainpipe in the corner. People often tie their dogs up to these while they go int the chemist shop next door. We're all "AWW DOG!" pressing our noses to the window. You can always tell when the owner comes out, the dogs tails are such a giveaway.

I went for a little jog this morning as I want my jiggly jiggly muffin tops to only go jig! I left the back garden with Hunter watching me leave. 30 mins later when I got back he was still in the exact place waiting for me. He went crazy when I got in the garden. I just love him so much!

Not that I want her to be glum, but I was dancing round the kitchen serenading Cassie to Simply Reds "Fairground" -- "I love the thought of coming home to you, little ray of light shining though"
She's very clearly saying "Can you just stop your silly antics (you're much too old), and just COME TO THE WOODS WITH ME" !!
I just love my heartonhersleeve girl

Maxx decided to bring half the garden inside yesterday. He was in dog heaven with his palm frong and various toys on his mat. It made me smile despite the thought of cleaning it all up after. By the way 'his' mat used to be the good mat in the loungeroom but Maxx adopted it. We gave up trying to keep it clean ages ago

I have just observed the most touching display of affection between my two dogs - I could have got up to get my phone to video it but I didn't want to spoil ‘the moment’ so I just sat and watched them. They gently nuzzled each other for ages and then with a finishing flourish Red licked Sky’s ear very very gently and they moved and lay down apart but still nearby each other 
My friends Great Dane having the trots but being scared of his own bum.
He was literally having jet wash esk poos but trying to run away from them.
Poor guy - hope he’s feeling better soon. But watching a 14 stone dog trying to escape his own bum is definitely one of the funniest things I’ve seen in a long time!
