What made you smile today?

This act of kindness made me smile today . A lady put out a plea on a local FB page , a single Mum with a baby , she had a cooker but it wasnt wired in . She said that she hadnt got much money, could only spare 30 pounds , she knew it was a big ask but could someone help . This was yesterday and today an electrician from Looe drove the 12 miles to do the job for her and refused payment , just a cup of tea and a mince pie , how kind xxxxxxxxx

Norty norty! Should have gone to bed but have just poured another half glass of wine because what could make you smile more than sitting by a glowing Fireinametalbox, listening to Howard Goodall's Enchanted Carols with the scent of pine and a softly and sweetly snoring Labrador by your side?
I don't have 'firemanetalbox' or wine, but I do feel like you and linger longer and longer into the night. I do have the sweetly snoring Labrador though.

Carbon and I have a new game: I take his Monkey and pretend to rub his ears and give him kisses like I do to Carbon. I say, "MY Monkey!". Carbon then acts very affronted, sits on me and licks my face until I give up Monkey, then takes him to the opposite corner of the bed to inspect Monkey and nibble away all of the disgusting human cooties I've just deposited on him. Then we do it all over again. And again.

Both of us have clearly been self-isolating for too long, but it also makes me laugh like a loon and Carbon's tail go "Thump, thump thump!". So...hey, it's making us happy! 😁

The ‘Find the Fish’ game has become a daily late afternoon game. The second I say ‘Shall we play Find the Fish’, she’s off her bed, rushes into the Utility to be shut In whilst I hide the fish in other downstairs rooms. When I open the door, she’s off sniffing like a bloodhound.

I am now hiding the fish in more difficult places. She’s incredible and I love watching her finding them.

I’m sure we wouldn’t be playing the game every day, if I wasn’t in lockdown (Tier 4)
