I'm tapping away at my desk at home, wearing headphones - and could hear my OH quietly chatting away. I assumed he was on the phone, but have just been listening and he's sitting on the sofa reading a book to Kipper. It's a fairly dry (but interesting!) book on local geology, but he's reading it as if it's a story book

A lovely time with Cassie and my son doing lots of dummy retrieving this morning. Last time we did some the field of choice was water logged and poached and the going was tough!
But today is fine and breezy and good conditions underfoot , she loved it and was as energetic as a puppy

Walking out of the second wood onto the concrete where the huge steaming pile of smelly manure is - a spaniel suddenly appeared out of the first wood. It made a huge leap onto the pile of manure, started digging and rolling in it - manure flying everywhere 
. Spaniel was on it’s back squirming around in the manure. It was so funny. Owner suddenly appeared out the wood - fortunately she saw the funny side. I said ‘someone’s going to be going in the bath’. She said laughing ‘someone’s not even going to be allowed in the house’

@Emily_Babbelhund has just left to head back to the other side after a lovely afternoon . The boys were so very good considering the weather kept them indoors most of the time , Nelly thought they were rather silly so she stayed on Pauls knee xx
