Spode and sloppy cheese oati s in this house

I just love it when they sit like this - Red does it often and I call it her ‘puppy sit’ but of course she's not a puppy anymore.she's a human
Lip-licking is often a sign of a dog being uncomfortable. Not always, of course, but it's one of the classic "I'd really rather you didn't do that" signals. Then I noticed that she was licking her lips.
I think I might be right in saying that they can also do this when they have something going on in the digestive system, maybe hungry and/or in anticipation of food coming, or some sort of gastric upset. Certainly I have known Cassie do this when she needs a poo, and just prior to the very few times she has vomited.lip licking
Of course you would!I'd hate to think I was doing something that made her feel uncomfortable.
Ella! What a classic, and the look on her face 'what? Why are you laughing?'Ella, my dog that thinks she's a human![]()
