What made you smile today?

Practising direction retrieves with Cassie this evening --- going through the whole process of indicating to her which one I want her to get, go right please. She sits there looking at me with that blank look in her eyes, which I know so very well. And goes to get the one on the left !!:rofl: How to look a nelly  I did the whole raised arm, lower arm and step to the right

I know so well that look means "you can ask what you like, but I know what I'm going to do "

Ah well, that's my girl.

Sent Little Brother a text to update him and tell him I can shower again. He sent back 'Much to the relief of all in Sowerby Bridge, no doubt!' It just doesn't come to an end. They're saying how much they miss Joy meeting them when they get back from work. They obviously don't miss me in the slightest, just thought I was smelly!:cwl:

I was smiling yesterday when grandson Adam came with me on our long walk . He has a lovely group of friends, male and female who all know one another from infant school days , they used to go out and frankly just get wrecked , like youngsters do but things have changed . They are all in their early to mid 20`s now , and have formed a supper club , taking it in turns to cook a three course meal for the others, usually around 12 of them . How terribly grown up

How lovely!

We had a really good vet experience today, with our favourite vet. Coincidentally she also has a black Lab. Chewie was a bit nervous after his last appointment, where the vet had to wear protective equipment as he had kennel cough, so she crouched down and gave him lots of treats before even beginning the examination and then gave him treats every step of the way and really made sure he was doing okay.

Apart from showing a little caution at the beginning he was fine. :)

Ginny has a new "thing". Back in the day, I would feed her in bed or on the sofa so she didn't have to get up. Now, she has her bowl on the floor like everyone else. Previously, she wouldn't have deigned to get out of bed to eat, but now she leaps down to stuff her face. It's months since she's been happy to eat this way.
Except, the last few days, she's started picking up her bowl and taking it to her bed. Or, last night, she jumped up on the sofa with it!! She is SUCH a princess!! :cwl:
