So while I was away, my dog sitter decided to break her neck! (She's ok, had surgery and will make a full recovery). Because of this, her OH and BIL assumed daily dog walking and dog care, even though she remained at home providing company.
When I picked Ella up, her OH and BIL could not stop going on and on and on about how wonderful Ella is, how well behaved/trained she is, how beautiful her temperament is with both humans and other dogs (they had two other dogs stay at different times during Ella's stay, plus they have a 14yr old lab) and they said on numerous occasions that they would adopt a dog like Ella in a heartbeat (they made fun of the sitter, saying that she loves all dogs but that a dog like Ella is one of a kind).
I put Ella in the car and all three of them insisted on coming to the car to say goodbye.
I felt so proud to know that other people had the chance to see and enjoy the girl that we get to share our lives with
