Doggy brags

Well I would call that a brag @Lisa I just don't understand why people blow at dogs, really I don't and it bothers me greatly. Up his nose is a big risk with any dog I would say. Good boy Simba.

Simba 1 - human - 0 + idiot. xx

So while I was away, my dog sitter decided to break her neck! (She's ok, had surgery and will make a full recovery). Because of this, her OH and BIL assumed daily dog walking and dog care, even though she remained at home providing company.

When I picked Ella up, her OH and BIL could not stop going on and on and on about how wonderful Ella is, how well behaved/trained she is, how beautiful her temperament is with both humans and other dogs (they had two other dogs stay at different times during Ella's stay, plus they have a 14yr old lab) and they said on numerous occasions that they would adopt a dog like Ella in a heartbeat (they made fun of the sitter, saying that she loves all dogs but that a dog like Ella is one of a kind).

I put Ella in the car and all three of them insisted on coming to the car to say goodbye.

I felt so proud to know that other people had the chance to see and enjoy the girl that we get to share our lives with 🥰

Hope the dog sitter recovers well. How awful. xx
Isn't it terrible? She was taking her girl out for a wee in the middle of the night and slipped on the path. Went for two days with a sore neck before going to the GP! Then had to have surgery and a big frame attached (when they fix the spikes into your head). She's been through a lot but is so lucky that it wasn't worse.

:nod: Well done to you, for bringing her up right Emily. I've got quite a glowing feeling about it myself, the other side of the world!

Poor dog sitter lady, that's horrid. Frighteningly easily done.

Well done Simba, sounds like he was very restrained in his reaction. @Lisa

It's bizarre what some people think they can do do animals. A lot of people blow up horses noses, thinking they are some sort of whisperer!!
Yes, he did say something like, "I guess it's horses that like being blown in their noses, not dogs." :hmm:

Oh isn’t Ella a dream! It must be so lovely knowing that people love having her.

I usually come back to a list of all the mischief Stanners got up to 🤨

You know how you are convinced your dog is the worst behaved in the world, and then you meet a dog that makes your dog look like an angel? Yep. We were walking across a bridge and we saw something white and furry bouncing from one side of it to the other. As we came closer it was a large labrador with both human parents clinging to his leash as he leapt and danced everywhere. Maxx tried to play but came away quickly when asked and honestly looked at us as if to say "what on earth is wrong with him?'
