Wow, I just can't imagine what that feels like. Especially when it was +35 here yesterday.

It's been bizarrely warm here in Germany so far this winter. Barely any frost and no snow. I saw bats flying around yesterday evening. Bats!!!!!

Climate change! Though I guess the worst weather will come soon, snow etc! It is absolutely pouring with rain here and very dark despite only being 3pm. The place is awash with water and mud. I have housemaids hands from washing Rourke off twice a day, I had never known anything like this before.

I have given up with Red - the mud is awful - sticks to her. I am towelling her but just letting the mud dry. I think my carpets and her bedding are beginning to get grimey. Deep joy

Me too, glad I have two dressing gowns for Joy, seem to be constantly washing them, dog towels and my walking trousers! Better weather forecast for the weekend, intend to make the most of it but it will still be muddy!

It's so strange - in Germany we had a terribly dry summer both 2018 and 2019, and it hasn't rained anywhere near enough to catch up. There seems to be plenty of surface water, but according to the experts it has not anywhere near filled the aquifers, and the earth is bone dry once you go down any more than about a meter.

It absolutely poured today. My street was basically flooded. Here's hoping there is rain inland, where it is really needed.

The weather has been so varied in Hampshire this week. Gone from pouring rain to blue skies and so warm I had to take my jacket off whilst walking Hattie. Today it was bitterly cold with very strong winds. This time last year we had 6 inches of snow. Seriously don't know what to wear day to day. In Scotland a couple of weeks ago we had the warmest weather in the UK. It's very frightening what's happening xx

Whilst it’s going to be sunny the next few days, we are also going to have minus temperatures at night. We have had such strange weather - not cold and so much rain. It’s definitely odd

I was just wondering how you are in Australia @Oberon @Emily. How are the fires as we aren't seeing very many news reports now? I did see a report about the rain and hale. I hope you're all OK especially Emily being pregnant. Still thinking about you all. xxx

Thanks @Charlie - the fires are under control more or less for now and there isn't any smoke here in Sydney. It's very hot though, tomorrow is going to be 41.

We had a mad storm on Monday. I was having a pedicure and suddenly the hot sunny day turned to night. Here is a video - it was terrifying. Such a land of extremes.

OH was walking home from the GP with Rowan when that storm hit! Thankfully we didn't have any hail.

Oh thank goodness!

OH ran out to put a tarp on my car but got hit in the head with a large hail stone and had to retreat. It is beyond me how my car, and no cars in the street, were undamaged.

I read that the same storm hit Canberra and wrote-off many many cars. I am very thankful!
