Weather

This is the weather I'm getting, heating has been on for two weeks now.98B046A4-06FC-41E5-958E-EBA13F7CAA60.jpeg
Swallows have gone and left us and my first robin in full colour on the 31st August.

This is what temperatures I should be getting this week. We should be on a small island off the coast of Dubrovnik this week and I think it's the sunshine I'm missing the most. We haven't had a lot of sunshine this year.

@SwampDonkey so sorry you feel tired.
Snuugle up to the boys after you have all dried off.
Try to rest/nap.

@Cupcase yes the sun really does help uplift you. I really suffer from SAD.
It feels like autumn today with the drizzle. Humid though and not too cold but I did need my light jacket this morning!
You’ve reminded me - I intend to get a SAD lamp for the winter. Must start researching.

It’s rain rain rain rain rain here 🌧 ☔

What a difference a day makes. Yesterday was sunny, still and a glorious 24 degrees. Today there is a gale-force wind blowing, it's raining and cool. The wind was so strong overnight it knocked over a giant pot plant on our side deck.

We just returned from our morning walk with a very damp labrador who wants to snuggle up in his bed but mean old Mum has tipped it up so he can't until he dries. He has a nice towel on 'his' couch but is instead lying on the mat looking disgruntled.

We are having a gorgeous spring day today - 30 degrees but it's not humid yet so very comfortable. I had my first swim of the season and it was lovely. The water was 25 degrees which is a little below my preferred 28-30 (I'm a wimp) but once you got in it was fine.

Lifeguard Maxx watched from the sideline. It never ceases to amaze me that he doesn't want to go in, but I'm glad in a way as it keeps one area of our lives dog-hair free!

Tomorrow is dropping to a maximum of 19 so we are enjoying the heat while we can.

I got soaked on my way in To work this morning with an umbrella that insisted on being inside out.
I turned the heating on just for a bit this evening. It’s turned down again now. still quite windy outside.

I put the heating on yesterday. I was cold 🥶. I also put the heating on in the conservatory as I love sitting out there but not prepared to feel cold. The wind yesterday was something else - enormous gusts 💨
