Its grim here , Cornwall suffered from gales again , winds of 85 miles an hour recorded and the rain is relentless . I have to keep Reuben away from all river walks as they are running so fast , not looking forward to my afternoon walk , it will be cut short today x

I think it's forecast to travel up to us tomorrow. The rain is already set in and now we're just waiting for the wind to join it. Oh well, light the stove and eat curry, that's the answer!

Relentless rain here now aswell, working its way up the country, although we don't have the wind.
I will be going out to my private care lady soon, the river was out this morning, it means quite a detour via country lanes in the dark
Cass is really only getting a good walk once daily, she doesn't seem to mind.

Feeling so sad for people affected as some Cornish villages are flooded , Hayle town centre has been declared a major incident by Police .

The rain has been truly horrendous today - lashing rain. Machines have been dredging the dykes but the fields are submerged in many places and the rain is lying in streams on the roads. I have noticed many new pot holes in the roads this week no doubt caused by the effects of the rain. Red too has only had one really good walk @Selina27 and doesn’t seem bothered.

It has been raining here for days and days and days and days. Fortunately we haven't had the gales Cornwall has had. @kateincornwall I do think of you when I see the weather forecast on TV, you have been bearing the brunt of the worst weather down there.

It's been wet here but not as bad as some places have it. It is also ridiculously mild and I still have roses blooming outside my windows. This year's weather has me daring anyone to deny global warming!
I have a calendula flowering at the moment. We have had a few frosty nights but it didn't die.

I can't believe the awful weather you're having, and it seems just wrong when we're desperate for rain. We're heading for a top of 44 degrees today 
Hope everybody is safe with the crazy weather, we are going from -28 in Canada to +46 (forecast but expected to be higher) Thunder storms, gusty storms and Bush fires to floods and Gales .
Just came back from walking the dogs at 5am and it was 36c that was out low...
