No sooner had all yesterdays awful flood water receded , now we are having thunderstorms with heavy rain again . We are fine but I do feel sorry for people on holiday, especially those brave souls camping x

I am so pleased that’s not us. I have experienced much weather during all my camping years but tonight I am glad to be in my home. Red and me have just got saturated on our evening walk. We are now drying out

Yes it’s her. She is quite small really compared to most Labs but she has wrapped herself up really tight after being battered by the rain and wind

Oh, now that I'm looking at the photo on my laptop rather that my mobile I can see that it's her! On the smaller screen the lovely curly fur on the back of her neck looked like an ear!

We had this a few times in our town. Contaminated with E-Coli. For us it took a week before we had water again. So I bought gallons in the supermarket...I guess now with covid and lockdown it is nearly impossible to do.!

Phew, the water is back!

We were ok but had to keep boiling it before drinking. Apparently there was a chance that some untreated water from a reservoir may have entered the network due to the power outage. They basically spent the last three days testing the water in all suburbs to confirm all was ok.

To be on the safe side, I'll let OH drink a glass tonight and will see how he is tomorrow before I try it myself

it’s snowing on the mountains in Cape Town. I spoke to my parents, Dads first comment was that he was cold. He still wont put the heaters on because they waste electricity but they are baking bread which obviously is not wasting electricity. They are always baking cakes, biscuits or bread every time I call.

I was freezing yesterday evening, had on a vest, long sleeved top, cardigan, gun dog gilet (warm one!) and woolly cardigan round my legs and still felt so very cold

it's tipping it down today. Just been to poo-pick the garden in only a hoody sweatshirt - soaked! The water butt is flowing over the top - the overflow pipe must be blocked but it's too wet to sort it now so a big, soggy puddle is forming in the grass. And I snapped the plastic tap fiddling with it. At least it's warm(ish).
