Doggy brags

I nearly didn’t take Homer man trailing on Saturday as he’d not had a good week. He did so well and had so much energy. the last trail back to the cars after a paper chase ending with hot chocolate was a challenge to see who could find the misper (missing person) first. Well Homer of course!
What is really interesting is that since he has been ill his fear of noises has almost entirely faded. Two of the other dogs went back early as there was some shooting near by. Homer just looked at me and put his head on my hand to say it’s OK Mum.

Wow, this is just amazing. It's wonderful that, poorly as he is, he still has this to do and enjoys it to the full. Really lovely to read this Janet xx
And doesn't it just go to show how strong their in built abilities are, and how important that they can but them to good use.

Proud mom moment last night. I took Hugo to work last night (the hospital) to visit co workers. I ended our visit in Emergency where he was swarmed by nurses, paramedics, doctors, security and techs etc. I hadn’t brought him to Emergency for about a month or more so I was thrilled to see how much he had matured since then. No jumping up, leaning in to peoples legs for cuddles, giving kisses instead of biting. He did still chew on some shoes mind you 🤭 but he is still a baby at 4.5 months old (coming up on 5 months on Dec 29th 😱) so I’ll take what I can for now 😅

One of the nurses asked if I could bring him to say hello to a patient who was in a bed with chest pain. And I was a bit hesitant as this was an elderly patient, not a co worker on the floor playing with a puppy, but I agreed to it, and I’m glad I did. The patient was trying to pet Hugo from his bed but couldn’t quite reach but Hugo could see the hands reaching so he put his two paws up on the bed and stood up and put his head in to the man’s hand and enjoyed all the cuddles. It warmed my heart to see this man soaking up Hugo love and seeing the joy all over his face ❤

Things have been a blur since we got back from Japan, but I got some feedback from Chewies carers while we were away.

1) Our personal trainer looked after him for the first week and said he was lovely. Wouldn't accept any payment and took Chewie to meet his mum who said that he was a wonderful and well behaved dog. 🧐 He was part of a charm offensive to convince her she needs another crocopup after her Lab crossed the bridge last year.

2) The outlaws minded him for the second week and said he behaved very well, was great with various kids in the house and walked very well on a loose lead with Toby, their schnauzer X poodle. It's great that they are confident walking the two of them- they are both a bit older so it's important that he doesn't pull them etc.

What a Good Boi.
