Harley and I managed an hour in the light rain, but very bitter wind. Walking into the wind, Harley used me as a windbreaker by walking directly behind me We are now home and relaxing in the warmth.

It was c-c-c-cold this morning at -25 with a little breeze. Simba thoughtfully did a poo so had to take gloves off to pick it up with poo bag. Only had gloves off for Max 20 sec but my the cold was biting hard, let me tell ya! If you ever see a movie where people are doing complicated things outside in the Arctic or in a snow storm or whatever and they are NOT wearing gloves you’ll know it’s fake.

Warming up this afternoon though! Only -16 now...

Weather: talked to my friend Nadine in Regensburg and it's been -10. She says her dog doesn't want to walk. I wouldn't either.

Glad to be in Cornwall in a cozy house!

Almost spring like feel today , 12/13 degrees when I walked the dogs in the forest . There was a watery sun trying to break through , no horrible cold wind blowing and the birds were singing . Not a soul about, just me and the dogs , bliss xx

Quite spring like here in wild and windy West Yorkshire too. It took us longer than usual to get round the moor today because people were actually stopping to chat, rather than just commenting on how cold it was in passing. Back down in the valley my friend Mark is back working on my new shed. We had sandwiches and olives for lunch sitting in the sun in the garden and remembered that when we had the 'Beast from the East' in 2018 we went on to have a good hot summer.

I would say this is rare.
Snow days, a day of sloppy wet snow, then none!
None of your awful sludgey post-show blurrgh.
The rapid change had it's positives.
