Brilliant - so pleased you both had such a good timeI wanted a dog who I could take everywhere with me and she is exactly that little dog.

Of course the terrier barked back and it sounded like a proper scrap although I'm sure it was all just noise. I turned and walked away, calling Joy to me again and this time thankfully she ran straight to me. I asked for a sit, got her lead on, asked for a sit and stay and distracted her with liver paste while the woman and terrier walked past. No more barking from either dog. I did apologise to the woman, adding that it was most out of character but she just looked the other way. Perhaps she was ignoring bad behaviour! Anyway, the point to this little tale is 'Take heart all those who think that I've got a good dog and you haven't!' Even GGJ isn't always perfect. (She is really though, to me.)

Well now, she was just taken by suprise! I imagine if you could understand the barking she was probably everso polite - "Oh. I'm. Sorry. I. Didn't. See. You. There!" etc. etc. No harm done, just letting off steam - she will always be GGJWell, 'Pride comes before a fall'! On our walk this morning Joy was happily trotting along the towpath off lead just a short way ahead of me, when round the corner came a woman with a small terrier on lead. I called Joy to me to put her on lead and she completely ignored me and charged at the terrier, barking furiously!Of course the terrier barked back and it sounded like a proper scrap although I'm sure it was all just noise. My thinking was similar, well, the being taken by surprise bit anyway. The barking didn't sound particularly polite!Well now, she was just taken by suprise! My lot take me by surprise on a regular basis, both good and otherwise. GGJ was just reacting to a surprise. She is a good dog. I'd react to a rude dog too.My thinking was similar, well, the being taken by surprise bit anyway. The barking didn't sound particularly polite!
and loves Red. He is being taught by his parents to be gentle as he pats her quite hard and pulls her legs when sheβs laying down. All quite normal stuff. Red is such a star
